Alcoa, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – Travelers using McGhee Tyson Airport will soon see higher prices for economy parking.
Beginning July 1, the daily rate for Economy Lot C and the overflow Economy Lot G will increase from $11 to $13 per day.
Airport officials say the rate change comes as the airport continues major expansion projects, including construction of a new parking garage to accommodate growing passenger demand.
While economy parking rates are going up, prices for other on-site options will remain the same. Terminal parking will continue to cost $16 per day, and the parking garage rate will stay at $22 per day.
The airport has been experiencing record passenger growth, prompting ongoing improvements and upgrades to existing facilities.
