GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) – The trial for a Greene County double homicide suspect is now underway.
Jordan Allen is accused of killing his seven-year-old brother and grandmother in April 2022 at a home in Chuckey. Investigators say the victims were beaten to death with a hammer. Allen was 16 years old at the time and is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
Court proceedings began Monday. On Tuesday, jurors examined key pieces of evidence collected in the investigation, including a hammer, boots, and blood stains that were tested by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The trial is scheduled to continue Wednesday at 9 a.m. A judge in the case expects proceedings to last at least through the end of the week.
