KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI – May 19, 2026) – The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has once again been recognized nationally, earning a place on Forbes’ list of Best Employers for New Graduates. The honor, released May 19, marks the sixth consecutive year UT has made the list.
University leaders say the recognition reflects a continued commitment to creating a strong workplace environment for early-career professionals.
“The University of Tennessee continues to innovate in creating an exceptional employee experience,” said Tarah Keeler, associate vice chancellor of human resources. “New graduates are welcomed as key team members while experienced employees provide guidance that helps shape career growth.”
The ranking evaluates employers on factors including salary, benefits, advancement opportunities, work-life balance, and company reputation. The list is compiled from surveys of more than 100,000 professionals with less than 10 years of experience.
UT offers employees a wide range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans with matching contributions, paid leave, and tuition discounts. The university also emphasizes mentoring, professional development programs, and collaboration across campus.
With more than 8,500 employees, UT continues to build its reputation as a top workplace. In addition to this latest honor, Forbes has also named UT among America’s best large employers and one of the top employers in Tennessee.
