MONTEREY, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT / WSMV) – District Attorney Bryant Dunaway has confirmed to WSMV4 that his office is investigating whether charges will be filed against the foster grandmother who had custody of a 7-month-old baby that died in a hot car in Monterey on Wednesday.
The DA reports that the foster grandmother left the baby in the back of the car at the Monterey Public Library.
Dunaway’s office is looking at the case to determine whether there will be charges filed in this incident.
Kids and Car Safety reported the death on Thursday morning, saying that the baby was found in the hot car outside the library.
The incident caused a vast response from departments across the city on Wednesday afternoon.
