MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – The City of Morristown said a road is slated to be closed for two weeks to demolish the Bradley Hardware building.
N. Cumberland Street will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 20 from Main Street to W. First North Street. The road will remain closed until 4 p.m. on Monday, May 4.
This comes after the city said the owner of the property secured a demolition permit to begin work.
“Traffic control devices, message boards, and detour signs will be in place to clearly direct traffic around the area,” the city said in a Facebook post. “Please pay attention as you travel around this area.”
