JEFFERSON COUNTY, Tenn. ( Story courtesy of WVLT) – Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies were involved in a shooting, according to a Friday morning announcement from the sheriff’s office.
The details are scarce at this time, but the sheriff’s office did say it happened at the intersection of SR 113 and Nina Road.
“S.R.113 is closed and the TBI is on scene and will be the lead in this investigation,” the sheriff’s office said.
There’s no word yet on injuries.
It’s standard practice for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to look into officer-involved shootings. A spokesperson for the bureau confirmed agents responded to the scene.
