Knox County Transitioning Reopening Guidelines

The Knox County Health Department has announced the county will be transitioning to the Tennessee Pledge Covid-19 guidelines.

To this point, Knox County and other larger counties across the state have been taking on the reopening process on their own while other smaller counties have been following the state guidance. While other large counties are remaining on their own, the Knox County Health department has decided to move to the state guidelines.

Martha Buchanan, the KCHD Director, says the move would help remove some liability off of the local government and help them to avoid potential law suits in the reopening process.

The transition is expected in late June or early July.
