Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – An investigation is underway following a fatal West Knoxville apartment fire.
The call came in last night (Sunday) in the 8000 block of Gleason Drive at Tiffany Square Apartment complex.
When Knoxville Fire Department crews arrived they saw smoke coming from the building and quickly got that fire put out.
The unit suffered some fire damage and a lot of smoke and water damage while other units appear to be unaffected.
One person was home at the time of the fire and was unfortunately unable to make it out.
KFD says smoke alarms didn’t seem to be present.
