Sweetwater, TN (WOKI) A student in Monroe County is without their flute after a “serial vehicle burglar” broke into several cars over the weekend in Sweetwater.

Officials with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reporting a total of eight cases related to the break-ins occurred between Friday night and early Saturday morning.

“The suspect(s) smashed vehicle windows and rummaged through several vehicles taking valuables and tools,” Monroe County Sheriff Tommy Jones said in a news release. “In one incident a child’s flute was taken that was used for band and needed for upcoming band events.”

Now, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Sweetwater Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects, who were caught on video.
