A man is arrested after causing a disturbance at Zoo Knoxville.
WVLT reporting that 55 year-old Marcus Winston reportedly entered the zoo last (Tuesday) night which was after-hours but during a private event. Employees reportedly told responders that Winston seemed upset and was yelling while inside the zoo, refusing to leave.
When officers arrived, they found Winston, who was allegedly yelling at a food truck, asking him to leave. Winston refused to leave and resisted being put in handcuffs, so officers used pepper spray on him and “delivered one knee strike to the midsection.”
Once Winston was taken into custody, officers allegedly found suspected crack cocaine and a pipe.
Winston was charged with possession, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

49-year-old David Jordan was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) after he was identified as a source of supply in the Western Avenue area.
Officers became aware that Jordan was transporting a large amount of methamphetamine and conducted a traffic stop on Western Avenue.
Officers searched his truck after a K-9 detected the smell of narcotics and located approximately eight ounces of suspected meth during the search. They also found two loaded handguns, approximately two pounds of suspected meth, around two ounces of suspected heroin and a fully operational marijuana grow operation when they searched his Keith Avenue home.
Jordan has prior federal felony convictions in two other states.
