The passage of the “big, beautiful bill” allows for the completion of the wall across the entire southern border of the United States, Sen. Markwayne Mullin told Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures.
The Oklahoma Republican, who is a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said that the extra funding provided by the legislation will also enable the Border Patrol to be beefed up in order to provide full deterrence.
The senator said that the Marines are being used on the border to battle the cartels, which are well funded and have military training and weapons. This means that the cartels have often been able to outgun and outman the Border Patrol.
