Rep. Mace to Newsmax: Harboring Illegals Against the Law

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., told Newsmax on Tuesday that some Democrats may be breaking federal law by assisting in the harboring of illegal immigrants, calling the practice a crime punishable by imprisonment.

During an appearance on “Finnerty,” Mace reacted to New Jersey Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy daring ICE to come after someone he suggested had uncertain immigration status.

“This is actually a violation of federal law with imprisonment up to five years by harboring an illegal alien,” Mace said. “As Governor Murphy from New Jersey is, it falls under Title 18 of the U.S. Code of Laws. It is illegal. You can’t encourage, incite, harbor, or aid illegal aliens who are here. You are breaking the law.
