Roane County, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – Drivers in Roane County faced multiple traffic issues Wednesday morning as emergency crews responded to separate roadway hazards in Blair.
According to the Blair Volunteer Fire Department, a fallen tree limb blocked the 300 block of Scandyln Hollow Road, forcing the closure of the roadway. Officials have not provided an estimated time for reopening, and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes until the obstruction is removed.
Just minutes earlier, firefighters responded to a railroad crossing malfunction in the 100 block of Blair Road. The malfunction affected normal traffic flow in the area, with drivers warned to expect delays and exercise caution around the crossing.
Emergency officials say both incidents occurred within a short period of time, creating additional challenges for local traffic. Motorists traveling through either area are advised to slow down, remain alert for emergency personnel, and follow any traffic control measures in place.
Crews continue working to address the roadway issues, and drivers are encouraged to monitor local updates for changing traffic conditions.
