Tennessee Secretary of State Reminds Voters of Election Day Resources and Voter Fraud Reporting Tools

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee election officials are encouraging voters to take advantage of several resources available on Election Day, including a statewide election hotline and a text-based system for reporting potential voter fraud or election concerns.

Secretary of State Tre Hargett said voters can rely on both the Division of Elections and their local county election commissions for accurate information and assistance throughout Election Day.

“In Tennessee, voters can count on the Division of Elections and their local county election commission for accurate and timely election information,” Hargett said. “If you have questions or concerns on Election Day, don’t hesitate to reach out to my office or your local election commission.”

Voters who need assistance can contact the Division of Elections’ toll-free Official Election Hotline at 1-877-850-4959. The hotline is available to answer questions, address voting concerns, and provide election-related information.

Election officials also encourage voters to visit GoVoteTN.gov or use the free GoVoteTN mobile app to find polling locations, voting hours, sample ballots, election dates, and other important voting information.

Coordinator of Elections Mark Goins said the state’s goal is to make voting accessible while maintaining confidence in the electoral process.

“Ensuring every eligible Tennessean can vote easily while maintaining the integrity of our elections remains our top priority,” Goins said. “If voters have questions or encounter an issue on Election Day, our office is here to help.”

In addition to the hotline, Tennessee offers a Text to Report Voter Fraud system that allows residents to quickly report suspected election violations, voting issues, or concerns directly to election officials.

To use the service, voters can text “TN” to 45995. Users will then receive a secure link where they may submit information to the Division of Elections.

According to the Secretary of State’s office, reports are reviewed and, when appropriate, shared with county election commissions, district attorneys, and other agencies for investigation and follow-up action.

Officials say voters can also use the system to provide feedback about their voting experience, including positive and negative comments regarding Election Day operations.
