KNOX COUNTY, Tenn. (WOKI) — Drivers traveling on Middlebrook Pike should prepare for overnight road work as resurfacing activities are now underway between Weisgarber Road and Cedar Bluff Road.
Crews have begun milling and paving operations along the busy corridor as part of an effort to improve driving conditions and extend the life of the roadway. The work is scheduled to take place during nighttime hours over the next several weeks to help reduce impacts on daytime traffic.
Motorists can expect intermittent lane closures, reduced speeds, and possible delays while crews are working. Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the construction zone, watch for workers and equipment, and allow extra travel time when passing through the area.
Officials say the resurfacing project will provide a smoother driving surface and improve overall roadway conditions once completed.
