NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI) – Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett has unveiled a new commemorative “I Voted” sticker designed to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and encourage voter participation across the state.
The special-edition sticker, which will be distributed at polling locations during upcoming elections, features patriotic artwork recognizing the nation’s semiquincentennial, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
State officials say the design serves as both a celebration of American history and a reminder of the importance of civic engagement.
“The ‘I Voted’ sticker is more than a keepsake. It is a badge of honor that proudly shows friends, family, and neighbors that you participated in one of our nation’s most cherished traditions: voting,” Hargett said.
“This year’s special edition is especially meaningful as it commemorates America 250, celebrating 250 years of our nation’s history while reminding us that the right to vote remains one of the greatest privileges of American citizenship.”
The commemorative stickers will be available to voters participating in upcoming elections across Tennessee.
Early voting begins Friday, July 17, and continues through Saturday, August 1. Election Day is Thursday, August 6.
Election officials are encouraging voters to plan ahead by confirming their registration status, reviewing sample ballots and locating their polling places before heading to the polls.
Registered voters can access election information through the state’s free GoVoteTN mobile app or by visiting GoVoteTN.gov. The platform allows voters to find polling locations, check voting hours, verify registration status and view sample ballots.
State officials hope the America 250-themed sticker will inspire Tennesseans to take part in the democratic process while commemorating a historic milestone for the nation.
