Jefferson County, TN (WOKI) – Multiple fire departments responded to a house fire early Sunday morning in New Market.
New Market Fire crews were dispatched just after 2:00 a.m. to a home on Indian Cave Road. When firefighters arrived, flames were already visible through the roof and the back of the house.
Crews from Jefferson City Fire, Lakeway Central Fire, and West Hamblen Fire assisted at the scene. The New Market Police Department and Jefferson County EMS also responded.
Indian Cave Road is currently shut down between Susan Drive and Nance Road as crews continue working in the area. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
No information has been released about injuries or the cause of the fire.
