Anderson County, TN (WOKI) – UPDATE: Joshua Sykes is in Custody. Joshua Sykes turned himself in at the Anderson County Detention Facility on May 4, 2026, at approximately 3:32 PM. We appreciate the public’s assistance and everyone who shared information related to this case.
Anderson County, TN (WOKI) – On April 30, 2026, at approximately 10:58 PM, deputies with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office attempted a traffic stop on Oak Ridge Hwy at Cedar Hills Drive involving Joshua Sykes.
During the stop, Sykes evaded law enforcement and dragged a deputy with his vehicle, creating a dangerous situation for everyone involved.
He is currently wanted for:
• Assault on a First Responder
• Evading Arrest
• Resisting Arrest
• Simple Possession
After fleeing, Sykes crashed his vehicle in the 1100 block of Laurel Rd and ran from the scene.
Last seen: Around the 400 block of Laurel Rd
