One Anderson County Commissioner Wants a Traffic Light Installed at a Busy Intersection

An Anderson County Commissioner wants to make an intersection near Clinton safer for drivers.

The intersection is located at Sinking Springs Road, also called North Charles G. Seivers Boulevard and Highway 61.

Residents say it’s a busy road. Anderson County Commissioner Tim Isbel is familiar with the safety concerns and is bringing up the idea of installing a traffic light to the County Operations Board.

Isbel says there are several accidents, traffic congestion at the intersection and he plans to talk to the County Operations Board next Monday.

If the idea passes, the item will go before the county commission for a vote. Then there will be traffic studies made as the project develops.
