Anderson County Man Pleads Guilty to Shooting, Killing Mother as Teen: Court Records

Anderson County, TN (WOKI) A teen pleads guilty in the murder of his mother.

Shawn Tyler Willis, who was charged as a teen in 2020 in Anderson County for the murder of his mother, has pleaded guilty to second degree murder.

Willis shot his mother in the head, while she was sleeping, with a handgun she kept on her nightstand after she took his phone away.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Willis confessed to the crime during an interview with law enforcement back in 2020.

He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
