Sevierville, TN (WOKI / WVLT) People who don’t have health insurance may let problems go untreated, and that’s why a mobile clinic is now making the rounds in rural Sevier County.
Officials with Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic’s mobile facility say it’s a way to get directly to patients who can’t get to the downtown Sevierville office either due to transportation barriers or financial struggles.
“We’re reaching out to areas of people who don’t have access to medical care or have difficulty getting out to medical care. So, we’re right down to their doorstep to help them out,” said Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic spokesperson Lu Borges.
For 25 years, the clinic has served more than 33,000 Sevier County residents who did not have access to affordable healthcare.
The clinic will be at The Crossing Church in Kodak on Tuesday, July 29.
