An Investigation is Underway after a Man Reported Fired Shots a Knoxville Home

A Knoxville man is facing several charges after authorities say he fired shots at a home.

WVLT reporting that Knoxville Police were called to a home on Gratz Street Saturday night after receiving multiple reports that a truck pulled into a driveway and a man, identified as 40-year-old Travis Murrah, got out, fired rounds in the direction of the home and left.

Officers were able to find the truck speeding down Broadway and when officers pulled the truck over, there was a strong odor of alcohol and Murrah had slurred and mumbled speech and was unsteady on his feet. Officers found guns in the truck, along with an empty shell casing.

Murrah, who is the son of a man who lives at the home, was taken back to the scene, where a witness told officers he was outside but ran inside after the shots were fired.

He is charged with reckless endangerment involving a deadly weapon, possession of a handgun while under the influence and DUI.
