UPDATE: MISSING PERSON KCSO – It saddens us to inform the community that the body of what is believed to be Mr. Narendra Patel has been discovered in the water. Our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Patel’s family during this incredibly difficult time.
We sincerely thank the Knoxville Rescue Squad for their help and The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) for their invaluable assistance in locating Mr. Patel. Their support has been instrumental in bringing closure to this situation.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office began the search for Mr. Patel, age 51, on May 25, 2025, after he left his home in West Knox County. His vehicle was found near the bridge on Northshore Drive, just west of the Concord Road roundabout.

Original story: The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance locating a missing person, Narendra Patel, age 51. Mr. Patel left his home in West Knox County on May 25, 2025, around 2:30 PM. His family has located his vehicle near the bridge on Northshore Drive, just west of the Concord Road roundabout.
Mr. Patel was last seen wearing an orange polo shirt and khaki shorts. He is approximately 5’11” tall and weighs around 220 pounds.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office patrol, aviation, and drones searched for Mr. Patel late into the night on May 25, and efforts will continue. We urge anyone who may have seen Mr. Patel on May 25, particularly in the area mentioned, to contact KCSO Major Crimes Detective McCord through Teleserve at 865-215-2243.
