A water rescue in Cocke County.
Three adults and three children are safe after the county’s Emergency Management responded after the group went on a kayaking and canoe trip down the Pigeon River Sunday night and they hit a tree and went into the water.
The group managed to get to dry land but on the opposite side of where they needed to be so the county swift water rescue team safely pulled all 6 to the other side of the fast moving water.
No injuries were reported.
