Two Men are Facing Charges after Rollover Crash on I-75 in Monroe County

Two men are facing charges after a rollover crash on I-75 in Monroe County.

The preliminary report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol says a Ford Mustang was driving behind a Nissan Frontier at a high rate of speed on I-75 South near mile marker 65 early Friday morning.

The report says the Ford tried to pass a commercial vehicle in the left lane and lost control, hitting the rear of the Nissan and causing it to overturn. It came to a stop on its side on the left side of the road.

The driver of the pick-up was injured but his condition has not been released.

The driver of the car, Eddie Fox, and passenger, Barry Childs, Jr. were not injured but they are facing charges.

Fox is charged with vehicular assault and driving on a revoked license and Childs was charged with accessory after the fact.

They are being held at Monroe County Jail.
