Knox County Sheriff’s Office Receives ‘Suspicious Package,’ KCSO Says

Knoxville, TN (WOKI) The Knox County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday received what representatives called a “suspicious package.”

Through a news release, KCSO Communications officials say staff found the package in the office’s Human Resources Division and called the Knoxville Fire Department.

“The KFD Fire/Hazmat team arrived promptly and conducted a thorough investigation,” KCSO Communications Director Kimberly Glenn said. “After careful evaluation, they determined that there was no evidence of any threat associated with the package.”

No one was hurt during the incident, Glenn said.
