
Charles F. Lomax Jr. is announced as the new Knoxville Area Urban League CEO.
Officials said Lomax has served as a city director for almost three years and emerged during a national search.
Officials said Lomax will be succeed Phyllis Y. Nichols who was the longest-serving CEO in the organization’s 54-year history in Knoxville.
Lomax said it is an honor to be entrusted with the great responsibility of leading the Knoxville Area Urban League and furthering its mission of empowering the undeserved.
Lomax will begin his position on Dec. 12.
