The bulk of the Tennessee basketball team’s 2021-22 non-conference schedule has been set and includes seven regular-season home games at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Tennessee will return to a full-capacity Thompson-Boling Arena for the upcoming season. Season-tickets are now on sale. Fans eager to immerse themselves in the action for this highly-anticipated campaign are encouraged to click HERE.

Optimism surrounds the new-look Tennessee roster. Head coach Rick Barnes welcomes the nation’s second-ranked recruiting class to complement a battle-tested crop of veteran returners, highlighted by super-senior forward John Fulkerson and guards Victor Bailey Jr.Josiah-Jordan James and Santiago Vescovi.

The Volunteers open their seventh season under Barnes against UT Martin on Nov. 9. That opener will be preceded by one home exhibition that has yet to be finalized.

Tennessee welcomes ETSU to Thompson-Boling Arena on Nov. 14. The Bucs will be led by first-year head coach Desmond Oliver, who spent the last six seasons on Barnes’ staff at Tennessee.

After two neutral-site games at the 2021 Hall of Fame Tipoff Tournament Nov. 20-21—where UT will face Villanova and either North Carolina or Purdue—the Vols return home to host Tennessee Tech and Presbyterian on Nov. 26 and Nov. 30, respectively.

The Big Orange begin December with an extended road trip that starts with a game at Colorado on Dec. 4. From there, the Vols will fly straight to New York City for a showdown against Texas Tech in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden Dec. 7.

After returning to Rocky Top, Tennessee hosts UNC Greensboro on Dec. 11 and a yet-to-be-announced opponent on Dec. 14.

On Saturday, Dec. 18, the Vols clash with Memphis at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. That will be followed by a home showdown with Arizona on Dec. 22.

Tennessee opens the SEC portion of its schedule—which will be announced later this summer—on Dec. 29. Conference play will pause one month later on Jan. 29 for the Big 12/SEC Challenge, for which the Vols travel to face the Texas Longhorns.
