PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) – Authorities in Pigeon Forge say a toddler found wandering alone has been safely reunited with her family.
The Pigeon Forge Police Department initially reported that a 2-year-old girl had been discovered without supervision, prompting concern and a request for public assistance in locating her parents or guardians.
Police said the child, described as a Black female wearing a pink shirt and white shorts, was found alone and officers were working to determine where she belonged.
In an update, officials confirmed that the child’s parents have now been located and contacted. No additional details about the circumstances leading up to the incident have been released.
Authorities have not said whether any charges or further investigation are pending.
The incident remains under review, but officials say the safe return of the child is the top priority.
