LOUDON COUNTY, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) — The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help identifying additional potential victims after a man was arrested in connection with multiple indecent exposure incidents.
Deputies responded Wednesday afternoon to The Bluffs area following reports of suspicious behavior involving a man exposing himself. When they arrived, they spoke with a woman who said she had been swimming with her dogs when the suspect approached her.
According to investigators, the man—identified as Jordan Eplett—began asking the woman personal questions and repeatedly complimented her. The woman told deputies she recognized Eplett from a previous encounter months earlier, when she said he exposed himself and chased her into the woods.
During the latest incident, the woman said she gathered her belongings to leave, at which point Eplett began masturbating while looking directly at her.
While speaking with the victim, deputies located a red Pontiac parked nearby in what they described as an unusual manner. The vehicle was registered to Eplett.
As deputies continued searching the area, they encountered additional individuals who reported similar encounters involving the same suspect. Those individuals were able to assist deputies in locating Eplett.
Authorities said he was found a short time later sitting near the water and smoking marijuana.
During questioning, investigators say Eplett admitted to exposing himself to multiple victims and acknowledged using alcohol and marijuana. Deputies also said he confessed to prior similar incidents.
Eplett was arrested and charged with six counts of indecent exposure. His cell phone was also seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
The Loudon County Sheriff’s Office believes there may be more victims who have not yet come forward.
“If you have been victimized by Jordan Eplett, or have had a similar encounter with him, please contact our non-emergency dispatch center at 865-458-9081 and ask to speak with a deputy so a report can be completed,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Investigators emphasized that even unreported encounters could be critical in strengthening the case.
Authorities also encouraged anyone who may have experienced similar incidents involving other individuals in Loudon County to report them.
The investigation remains ongoing.
