KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) — The Tennessee Valley Authority is encouraging homeowners and renters across the Valley to take advantage of free energy-saving resources through its EnergyRight program.
Residents can qualify by completing a brief online Home Energy Assessment through TVA EnergyRight. The assessment asks questions about a home’s size, age, heating and cooling systems, and overall energy use. After completing the survey, participants receive personalized recommendations designed to help reduce energy consumption and lower utility bills.
Participants are also eligible to receive a free energy-saving kit that includes items such as LED light bulbs, insulating socket sealers, and other efficiency products. The program additionally provides a home improvement gift card and information on available rebates and tax credits.
Beyond the free kit, TVA EnergyRight offers rebates on a variety of home improvements, including smart thermostats, insulation upgrades, air sealing, HVAC improvements, and energy-efficient windows and doors. Officials say the incentives are designed to help residents reduce energy costs while making homes more comfortable year-round.
The program is available through TVA and its local power company partners across the Tennessee Valley region.
