PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WOKI)— Dollywood is being recognized on both the national and state level as one of the country’s best places to work.
Newsweek has named the Pigeon Forge theme park to its Greatest Workplaces 2026 lists for the United States and for Tennessee following a large-scale independent study.
The rankings are based on research conducted between April 2025 and October 2025, including nearly 180,000 employee interviews and more than 2.7 million company reviews. Companies were evaluated on factors such as leadership, integrity, compensation, work-life balance, culture, and benefits.
Dollywood Vice President of Human Resources Susan Loveday says the recognition reflects the company’s focus on supporting its employees — known as “hosts.”
“A world-class guest experience starts with our hosts,” Loveday said. “By ensuring they feel supported and valued, we empower them to do what they do best—care for our guests.”
Dollywood Parks & Resorts offers a wide range of employee benefits, including 100% free tuition through its GROW U. program, healthcare access, free park admission for family and friends, and daily meals during shifts. The company also offers leadership development opportunities and childcare support.
Newsweek says companies that make the list often benefit from stronger employee retention and client satisfaction.
