GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WHNS/WVLT) – An East Tennessee woman accused of kidnapping an infant in North Carolina has been arrested on multiple charges.
According to the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Old Mars Hill Highway Thursday morning for a parental abduction. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office later found the mom, identified as 25-year-old Ambriel Grace Ruth Wilson, and her one-year-old child.
“The quick response and action of Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and Greene County Sheriff’s Office personnel demonstrate their compassion and dedication to ensuring the safety of the victim in this incident,” said BCSO District 2 Captain Chris Stockton. “We appreciate the continued collaboration of the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. Above all else, we are thankful that the child was located safe and this incident was resolved with no physical injuries. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this incident as they navigate this difficult and complex time.”
