Tennessee has finished top-eight nationally in average attendance in each of the last nine seasons, from 2017-18 through 2025-26. That includes a top-five mark in each of the past eight campaigns and a third-place finish in each of the last two.
The Volunteers have averaged over 19,000 fans per game for each of the past three years, recording three of the eight highest single-season marks in program history. That includes a 20,026 ledger in 2024-25 that ranks third-best at Tennessee.
Last year, Food City Center hosted five of the 12 highest-attended regular season games in the country, as well as the top-attended exhibition contest. It was home to eight of the top 18 in 2024-25 and to three of the top six in 2023-24.
Furthermore, despite playing in the third-largest on-campus arena in the country, Tennessee has amassed 26 sellouts over the past four seasons. It had a venue-best eight in both 2023-24 and 2024-25.
Tennessee has reached the Sweet 16 in each of those four campaigns, as well as the Elite Eight in each of the past three. It is the only program in the country that can make that claim.
Last year, head coach Rick Barnes‘ team went 25-12 (11-7 SEC) and finished No. 12 in the national polls. It marked the fifth consecutive 25-win campaign for Tennessee, as well as its seventh total in Barnes’ 11-year tenure.
The Volunteers start the regular season Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. with a home matchup against Wofford, live on SEC Network.
