Greene County, TN (WOKI /WVLT) – Greene County residents are assessing storm damage Wednesday morning after severe weather swept through the area Tuesday night, bringing strong winds, heavy rain and at least one tornado warning.
The most significant damage reports have come from the Camp Creek community, where residents reported damage to barns, power poles and other structures following the storm’s passage.
Damage Reported in Camp Creek Area
Residents and storm spotters shared photos and videos showing severe weather moving across northeastern Tennessee as storms intensified Tuesday evening.
According to preliminary reports:
- Multiple barns sustained damage
- Power poles were damaged or knocked down
- Debris was scattered across portions of the Camp Creek area
- Strong winds were observed throughout the storm
