According to the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority, Frontier’s last scheduled flight from McGhee Tyson Airport is set for August 17.
Airport officials said the airline has described the move as a temporary hiatus rather than a permanent departure.

The suspension will impact Frontier’s nonstop service between Knoxville’s McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) and Denver International Airport (DEN).
The Denver route is currently the only Frontier Airlines nonstop destination operating from Knoxville.

While the airline is suspending service for now, airport officials say Frontier has indicated it could return to the Knoxville market in the future.
