Knox County, TN (WOKI) – Friday night’s house fire in Knox County caused significant damage to a home but resulted in no injuries, according to fire officials.
The Knox County Communications District received a report that a neighbor’s house was on fire. When Knoxville Fire Department crews arrived on the scene, they found flames coming from a front window and the front portion of the residence.
Firefighters quickly launched an interior attack on the blaze and were able to bring the fire under control within 30 minutes of being dispatched.
Officials said the home was empty at the time of the fire and did not appear to be occupied.
The fire caused severe damage to the front section of the house, while smoke and water damage affected much of the remainder of the structure.
No injuries to firefighters were reported during the incident.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
