KINGSTON, Tenn. — (WOKI / WVLT) – Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead following a shooting in Roane County Thursday afternoon.
According to the Roane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene around 5:41 p.m.
When they arrived, they found 29-year-old Marcus Couch deceased.
Officials say Couch’s body has been transported to the Knox County Regional Forensic Center, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine more details surrounding his death.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has joined the case and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
At this time, officials say there is no danger to the public.
No additional information has been released as investigators continue to work the case.
