PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WOKI) — Dollywood has revealed an ambitious lineup of new experiences, expanded seasonal events and returning guest favorites as it prepares for its 42nd operating season in 2027.
The award-winning Smoky Mountain theme park announced that the new season will begin with a Season Passholder Preview Day on March 10, followed by Grand Opening Day on March 11 for all guests.
According to Eugene Naughton, President of Dollywood Parks & Resorts, the 2027 season will blend new attractions and experiences with many of the traditions families have come to love.
“Every season at Dollywood brings something different, and there’s always a new reason to experience the park and the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains around us,” Naughton said.
New Dream Maker Character Coming to Wildwood Grove
One of the biggest additions for 2027 is the introduction of The Dream Maker, a new character who will appear in Wildwood Grove.
The Dream Maker will interact with children through stories, activities and experiences inspired by Dolly Parton’s message of dreaming big, believing in yourself and helping others. The character’s Dream Wagon will provide opportunities for children to share their own dreams and aspirations.

New Christmas Experience Debuts
Dollywood is also adding a new holiday attraction called Mrs. Claus’ Cookies during the 2027 Smoky Mountain Christmas festival.
The interactive experience will allow children to make cookies alongside Mrs. Claus in a festive holiday kitchen setting.
Meanwhile, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Clarice and Bumble will return for another holiday season at the park.
Festivals and Entertainment Return
Guests can also look forward to a full slate of annual festivals, including:
- I Will Always Love You Music Festival (March 11-April 11)
- Flower & Food Festival (May 7-June 20)

The popular Country Hitmakers Concert Series will return during the Flower & Food Festival, with artist announcements expected at a later date.
NightFlight Expedition Enters First Full Season
Dollywood officials also highlighted NightFlight Expedition, which debuted in August and will enter its first full operating season in 2027.
The attraction has received strong reviews since opening and is expected to be one of the park’s marquee experiences next year.
Season Pass Sales
Current 2026 season passholders can renew now and receive exclusive benefits. Season passes for the general public go on sale November 2.
Dollywood officials noted that guests who purchase 2027 season passes will be able to begin using them during this year’s Smoky Mountain Christmas festival.
