Union County, TENN. — (WOKI/WVLT) A man convicted in a Union County double murder will remain behind bars after being denied parole by the state parole board.
The Tennessee Parole Board announced on September 4th that it denied parole for Ronald David Martin during the most recent hearing.
Martin pleaded guilty in 1986 to two counts of first degree murder for the slayings of Wanda Romines and her daughter Sheila Romines that took place in Andersonville in Union County.
Martin recieved two life sentences 40 years ago, his next parole hearing is set for 2032.
