BLOUNTVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) – A 24-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say three women were stabbed during a domestic violence incident Tuesday morning in Sullivan County.
According to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 10 a.m. to a home in the 100 block of Highland Drive in Blountville after receiving reports of a stabbing.
When deputies arrived, they learned that Jonathan Clark, 24, had allegedly stabbed three women inside the residence.
Authorities said deputies were able to safely remove all three victims from the home and also rescue two dogs located inside the residence.
Investigators then attempted to get Clark to leave the home, but officials said he threatened law enforcement officers during the standoff.
The sheriff’s office said deputies subsequently deployed chemical agents into the home in an effort to bring the situation to a peaceful resolution.
Following the deployment of the chemical agents, Clark surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.
All three victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment. According to the sheriff’s office, two of the women remain hospitalized as a result of their injuries.
Clark was also hospitalized and remained under medical care as of Tuesday.
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office has charged Clark with:
- Three counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder
- Three counts of Aggravated Domestic Assault
Investigators have not released additional details regarding the relationship between Clark and the victims or what may have led to the attack.
A court date has not yet been announced.
The investigation remains ongoing.
