CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – Claiborne County saw widespread power outages Monday morning, according to the Claiborne County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
In a notice posted to social media, the agency said power had been affected across the county. Both Holston Electric Service and Powell Valley Electric, two utility providers in the area, reported outages Monday morning as well.
Powell Valley Electric posted an update of their own around 8 a.m. Monday. In it, the utility provider said power had been restored, but crews were still on scene in the Tazewell and Harrogate areas.
At this time, there’s no word on what could have caused the outage.
