NEWPORT, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – The Cocke County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help after a memorial stone behind the National Guard Armory on Armory Road was vandalized.
The stone was knocked over one day and thrown off an embankment the next, according to the sheriff’s office.
Anyone with information is asked to contact dispatch at 423-623-3064. Tips can also be submitted through the sheriff’s app.
The sheriff’s office said the vandalism will be prosecuted.
