KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) – Two suspects have now been indicted following a shooting and deadly car crash in North Knoxville.
Back in December, the Knoxville Police Department said officers responded to a crash on Oldham Avenue after a reported shooting. There, they found a car that had crashed down an embankment with two women inside.
One woman had been shot and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and the other, who was unresponsive from the crash, died from injuries sustained in the crash, KPD said.
As a result, Jamahus Murphy has been indicted on two counts of attempted first-degree murder, felony murder and employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, according to court documents. Another suspect, Jamarcus Murphy, was indicted for accessory after the fact.
