HANCOCK COUNTY, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – An inmate who escaped from Hancock County Jail is back into custody.
The Hancock County Jail says 48-year-old Joshua Metcalf was captured this (Sunday) morning.
Metcalf escaped from the jail on Thursday, prompting Hancock County Schools to be placed on lockdown and a Most Wanted Alert from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The sheriff’s office says Metcalf is charged in the murder of his brother.
