Morgan County, TN (WOKI / WVLT) – The Tennessee Department of Correction is investigating the homicide of a correctional officer at the Morgan County Correctional Complex.
The inmate responsible has been identified and WVLT reporting they they stabbed the Officer and they have been moved to another facility.
MCCC has been placed on lockdown and visitation is canceled this weekend at this facility.
This is an ongoing investigation and the correction officer has not been identified.
TDOC says their thoughts and prayers are with the officer’s family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.
