The Oliver Springs Police Department says an officer saw a car without a right rear tire driving on East Tri County Boulevard through an active school zone and stopped the car but the driver drove off “in a reckless manner” after the officer asked him to step out of the car.
The car crashed into a large stone mailbox fixture near Phillips Freels Lane.
The driver, a 20-year-old man from Kingston, was taken into custody for multiple offenses and he is wanted in Knox County on an active warrant for aggravated domestic assault.
