Knoxville, TN (WOKI) – The Knoxville Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit arrested Gordon Wayne Davis, 34, on Friday, February 13, 2026, following the execution of a search warrant at his residence on Augusta Avenue.
The search warrant was obtained as part of the investigation into two separate drug overdose deaths.
During the search, officers found 3.5 ounces of powder cocaine, four ounces of crack cocaine, 2.5 pounds of marijuana, psylocibin mushroom bars, $3,745 in cash, a handgun and additional drug paraphernalia.
The investigation into the two drug overdose deaths remains ongoing, and additional charges are expected.
Davis had been wanted since June 2020 for Violation of Probation related to drug distribution charges. In January 2021, while wanted for the VOP, Davis was suspected of being involved in a shooting at The Vistas apartments on East Hill Avenue and was subsequently charged with Felon in Possession of a Handgun. He remained a fugitive until his arrest on Friday.
