CLAIBORNE COUNTY, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT) -More than a year after two men were killed at a mine in Clairfield, their families are offering a reward and pleading for information to help solve the case.
Nathan Hamblin and Robbie Hatfield were found dead in the summer of 2024 at a mine in Clairfield, according to the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff said the two men were scrapping metal at the property when they were found dead in a tower.
The families are now offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the killer.
CCSO and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation have since been investigating the double homicide. Investigators have identified multiple suspects who they believe knew the two men but have had difficulty locating them.
“Someone out there knows what went on, and they know what happened. I would appreciate it if they would just come forward,” said Ancil Hamblin, Nathan’s uncle.
“Just do the right thing. Just do the right thing and be the bigger person and find the courage to just come forth,” Karla said.
The Hamblin and Hatfield families are working together on the reward offer, hoping it will encourage someone to come forward with information.
“They weren’t throw away people. Family loved them. We loved them and they deserve justice. We deserve justice,” Karla said.
The sheriff’s office said there is no new information in the case. Robbie Hatfield’s sister said she is also praying someone comes forward with information.
