NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Story courtesy of WVLT / WSMV) – Country music icon Dolly Parton and Gov. Bill Lee have teamed up to celebrate 250 years of America with a new short film centered on Tennessee’s role in our nation’s history.

“Parton’s narration underscores the pride, resilience, and optimism that have long defined the spirit of the Volunteer State,” a press release on the film said.
Lee said he’s grateful to Parton for lending her powerful voice to Tennessee’s story.
